To see his struggles and Happy’s struggles done so well in this movie is refreshing. Spider-Man: Far From Home deals with the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame and brings a lot of heart to the character of Peter Parker. He is perfectly cast as one of the best Marvel villains of all time and will now be back in No Way Home. William Dafoe’s portrayal of Green Goblin/Norman Osbourne makes this movie what it is, though. It is hard to find an actor that can play them both to perfection (although fans will see that later with Tom Holland). Maguire is very believable as Peter Parker, less so as Spider-Man, though. It is the first of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy, and it actually pulls off the origin story quite well. The fact that Marvel has their hands in this trilogy as well really pushes it to the top. Holland proves in this movie that he is the perfect Peter and the perfect Spider-Man, therefore the best of the three actors to portray the popular comic book character. It helps a lot that Tom Hollands’ Peter Parker was first introduced in Captain America: Civil War, and they were able to pick up after that. There is no need to dwell because everyone knows Spider-Man’s origin. Speaking of origin stories, Spider-Man: Homecoming does a great job quickly discussing the spider that bit Peter and then moving along from it. Michael Keaton stars in Columbia Pictures’ SPIDER-MAN™: HOMECOMING. Gwen Stacey’s death is a scene ripped right from the comic books that sends Peter Parker down an interesting path - that fans never got to see on the big screen because the third movie in the trilogy was canceled. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is not afraid to get dark, and because of that, it is the best Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movie. The fact that Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were dating in real life during this movie adds to their on-screen chemistry. Instead, the Amazing Spider-Man delivers a mediocre origin story that fans did not need to watch again.Įveryone knows how Peter Parker got his abilities, and The Amazing Spider-Man spends far too long showing them, yet again. There is nothing nerdy about him and try as he might, he just cannot pull that off. Topher Grace as Eddie Brock is a choice that doesn’t pan out well either.Īndrew Garfield isn’t necessarily a bad Spider-Man, but he certainly isn’t a good Peter Parker. Let’s never talk about that dance scene again, please. In this one, Tobey Maguire feels a bit too old as Peter Parker and way too bizarre when the symbiote gets to him. Fans had longed to see Black Suit Spidey and Eddie Brock as Venom, and unfortunately, neither of those delivered. While there are certainly some things to enjoy about Spider-Man 3, the bad outweighs the good. Now that Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has been released, let’s rank every single Spider-Man movie, from worst to best. Spider-Man (Shamiek Moore) in Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation’s SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE. With that said, Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s post-credits scene also introduced the franchise in the same canon and that is how Maguire’s appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home puts both Venom in the same universe. Here’s a list of all 10 Spider-Man movies ranked, including the newest animated feature - Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. It means somehow both the Venoms are connected and due to this, there is a huge possibility that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man can appear in No Way Home. While there could be multiple Venoms around the Multiverse, the only live-action Venom came in Spider-Man 3, thanks to Grace. Venom in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline is a big deal but apparently, Venom: Let There Be Carnage also skipped an important thing. Jonah Jameson’s breaking news that Peter Parker is Spider-Man with Holland’s unmasked face on the TV. This gets confirmed as Venom and Eddie discover J. But they never get a chance to share the glimpse as the multiverse cracks and they jump into the main MCU timeline. Apparently, when he starts to talk with Venom about life, Venom offers Eddie to show a glimpse of what he already knows. The scene starts with Brock playing in it and watching TV in a hotel room. While both Venom and Sony have operated in a separate universe before, Venom: Let There Be Carnage brought Hardy’s Venom to the MCU. By doing so, the sequel has connected Hardy’s Venom to the one played by Topher Grace in 2007’s Spider-Man 3. But in the end, the film’s post-credits scene completely changes the franchise’s and Venom’s future. The long-awaited sequel of 2018’s release, Venom, is finally here that puts Hardy’s symbiote against Carnage. Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s post-credits scene subtly linked Tom Hardy’s Venom to Topher Grace’s Venom from Spider-Man 3 through the concept of Multiverse. Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s post-credits scene subtly linked Tom Hardy’s Venom to Topher Grace’s Venom from Spider-Man 3.
